Maison Actuelle - Renata Koglin wants to revolutionise your interior
March - April 2023
The concepts of architecture and interior design are all the same. But Renata Koglin, based in French-speaking Switzerland, has decided to breathe new life into them by focusing on neuro-architecture and biophilic design.
Who is Renata Koglin?
Renata Koglin trained as an engineer and specialised in research and development and project management. During the confinement, she found herself giving free rein to her creative and manual spirit, which motivated her to undertake a total reconversion. After studying at the EDL school of applied arts in Lausanne, she trained in two innovative fields, straight from the United States.
The services offered
In 2022, the entrepreneur realised her dream by officially creating her company: Renata Koglin Interiors. She offers a complete range of services, from design to interior decoration, including home staging. Always listening to her clients, the agency helps them to project themselves with 3D visualisations and provides them with a turnkey project, delivered on time. Houses, flats, chalets, offices, but also waiting rooms, hospitals or classrooms: all spaces are concerned!
Focus on neuro-architecture
Renata Koglin has chosen to specialise in a sector that is still little known in Switzerland: neuro-architecture. At the crossroads between psychology, neuroscience and architecture, this discipline is interested in the functioning of the brain in the choice of habitat. By understanding the impact of the senses and the elements on her clients' emotions, which are specific to each person's history and experience, Renata Koglin transforms interiors in depth. The goal: to bring balance and psychological harmony, to feel better at home every day.
Focus on biophilic design
Biophilic design is a concept inherent to neuro-architecture and refers to the fundamental need to get closer to nature. The aim is to add natural elements and greenery to every room, bringing serenity and disconnection to everyday life. Renata Koglin plays with various factors to bring a little nature into the home: the presence of water, plants, natural materials and patterns, and sunlight. This is particularly valuable during the winter period, when we tend to cut ourselves off from nature by living about 90% of our time indoors.
