TIK – Tuscany Italian Kitchen: A Slice of Tuscany in the Heart of Zug
This November, Zug’s dining scene will welcome a new standout destination: TIK – Tuscany Italian Kitchen, an Italian restaurant bringing the authentic flavors and atmosphere of Tuscany just steps from the train station. The renovation and interior design were recently completed by RK Interiors, transforming the former Reformhaus Müller space into a warm, refined dining venue.
A concept that goes beyond gastronomy
TIK is the creation of Federico Norata, a young chef and entrepreneur with experience in prestigious kitchens in Paris and Monte Carlo, including working with renowned chef Alain Ducasse. Inspired by his grandmother, who lived in Tuscany and passed down her passion for regional cooking, Norata envisioned a space where every detail would transport guests to this iconic Italian region.
Design and atmosphere
RK Interiors’ mission was clear: to create a restaurant that not only serves traditional dishes but also conveys Tuscan flair from the very first step inside. Warm tones, natural textures, soft lighting, and Mediterranean-inspired architectural details create a welcoming environment for approximately 46 guests.
“We wanted guests to forget for a moment that they are in Switzerland and truly feel as if they are in Tuscany,” explains Norata.
Cuisine and experience
The menu, partly kept under wraps until the opening, is expected to feature around ten traditional recipes, such as the famous Bistecca alla Fiorentina and Ribollita. The restaurant will also offer takeaway, delivery, and gourmet baskets filled with carefully selected Tuscan products.
A successful collaboration
For RK Interiors, this project showcases the ability to transform culinary concepts into memorable spaces. From the selection of materials to the color palette, every decision was made to combine functionality, comfort, and a unique visual identity.
TIK is scheduled to open in November 2025 at Alpenstrasse 11, Zug—a must-visit for lovers of fine dining and exceptional interior design.
